On April 17, 2026, Bishop Enrique Figaredo, Apostolic Prefect of Battambang, paid a visit to a Christian family, formerly students of the Arrupe Center in Battambang. The family has recently relocated to temporary housing provided by the government in Svay Chek District, Banteay Meanchey Province, after their original home in Prei Chan village, O’Chrov District, was damaged and subsequently taken under the control of Thai soldiers. During this meaningful occasion, Bishop Enrique Figaredo blessed the family and their new home through prayer. This blessing was not only a wish for their peace and well-being but also a reminder that they remain under God’s constant and warm protection. Bishop Enrique Figaredo consistently reaches out to visit and encourage those he knows, regardless of time or place. His presence, especially during times of hardship, serves as a signs of love and concern for the people, who are special presence of God.
