Reading 1,\u00a0Zephaniah 3:14-18<\/em> 14<\/sup> Shout for joy, daughter of Zion, Israel, shout aloud! Rejoice, exult with all your heart, daughter of Jerusalem!<\/p> 15<\/sup> Yahweh has repealed your sentence; he has turned your enemy away. Yahweh<\/a> is king among you, Israel, you have nothing more to fear.<\/p> 16<\/sup> When that Day comes, the message for Jerusalem<\/a> will<\/a> be: Zion, have no fear, do not let your hands fall limp.<\/p> 17<\/sup> Yahweh your God<\/a> is there with you, the warrior-Saviour. He will<\/a> rejoice over you with happy song, he will<\/a> renew you by his love, he will<\/a> dance with shouts of joy for you,<\/p> 18<\/sup> as on a day of festival. I have taken away your misfortune, no longer need you bear the disgrace of it.<\/p> 2<\/sup> Give thanks to Yahweh<\/a> on the lyre, play for him on the ten-stringed lyre.<\/p> 3<\/sup> Sing to him a new song, make sweet music for your cry of victory.<\/p> 11<\/sup> but Yahweh's own plan stands firm for ever, his heart's counsel from age to age.<\/p> 12<\/sup> How blessed the nation whose God<\/a> is Yahweh, the people he has chosen as his heritage.<\/p> 20<\/sup> We are waiting for Yahweh; he is our help and our shield,<\/p> 21<\/sup>\u00a0for in him our heart rejoices, in his holy name we trust.<\/p> 39<\/sup> Mary set out at that time<\/a> and went as quickly as she could into the hill country to a town in Judah.<\/p> 40<\/sup> She went into Zechariah's house and greeted Elizabeth.<\/p> 41<\/sup> Now it happened that as soon as Elizabeth<\/a> heard Mary's greeting, the child leapt in her womb and Elizabeth<\/a> was filled with the Holy Spirit.<\/p> 42<\/sup> She gave a loud cry and said, 'Of all women you are the most blessed, and blessed is the fruit of your womb.<\/p> 43<\/sup> Why should I be honoured with a visit from the mother of my Lord?<\/p> 44<\/sup> Look, the moment your greeting reached my ears, the child in my womb leapt for joy.<\/p> 45<\/sup> Yes, blessed is she who believed that the promise made her by the Lord<\/a> would be fulfilled.'<\/p>","categories":[{"id":160,"name":"Daily Bible"}],"tags":[]}
