Reading 1,\u00a0Deuteronomy 26:16-19<\/em><\/strong><\/h2>

16<\/sup>\u00a0'Yahweh your\u00a0God\u00a0commands you today to observe these laws and customs; you must keep and observe them with all your heart and with all your soul.<\/p>

17<\/sup>\u00a0'Today you have obtained this declaration from Yahweh: that he\u00a0will\u00a0be your God, but only if you follow his ways, keep his statutes, his commandments, his customs, and listen to his voice.<\/p>

18<\/sup>\u00a0And today\u00a0Yahweh\u00a0has obtained this declaration from you: that you\u00a0will\u00a0be his own people -- as he has said -- but only if you keep all his commandments;<\/p>

19<\/sup>\u00a0then for praise and renown and honors, he\u00a0will\u00a0raise you higher than every other nation he has made, and you\u00a0will\u00a0be a people consecrated to Yahweh, as he has promised.'<\/p>

1<\/sup>\u00a0How blessed are those whose way is blameless, who walk in the\u00a0Law\u00a0of Yahweh!<\/p>

3<\/sup> and, doing no evil, who walk in his ways.<\/p>

4<\/sup> You lay down your precepts to be carefully kept.<\/p>

44<\/sup> But I say this to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you;<\/p>

45<\/sup>\u00a0so that you may be\u00a0children\u00a0of your Father in heaven, for he causes his sun to rise on the bad as well as the good, and sends down rain to fall on the upright and the wicked alike.<\/p>

46<\/sup>\u00a0For if you love those who love you, what reward\u00a0will\u00a0you get? Do not even the tax collectors do as much?<\/p>

47<\/sup> And if you save your greetings for your brothers, are you doing anything exceptional?<\/p>
