Pilgrimage of the jubilee Year for the Religious in Cambodia

On December 6, the religious (priests, brothers, and sisters) currently serving the Catholic Church in Cambodia, totaling approximately 100 individuals, made a joint pilgrimage in the context of the Jubilee year. The pilgrimage was guided by Bishop Olivier, starting at the Phnom Penh Diocese Pastoral Center and concluding at the Arey Ksat Parish Church, which is the sanctuary of Our Lady of the Mekong.
In his homily, Bishop Olivier reminded all the religious about the experience of hope and the strength that comes from Jesus.

He continued by saying that when we pay attention to converting our minds and hearts, we become instruments of God, bringing hope to the poor, hopeless and marginalized. Furthermore, the Scriptures, the Word of God that we have heard, help us to persevere and comfort our afflictions, bringing us perpetual hope.

The Bishop emphasized that we are in Arey Ksat, the place of Our Lady of Peace. Through the example of the Virgin Mary, we become a witness of hope by:
• Constantly praying and interceding to God.
• Silence to find God within ourselves.
• Humility to live in genuine joy.
• Poverty, living a simple life by trusting and entrusting everything to God.
