Bishop Olivier Celebrates the Feast of Christ the King at St. Joseph Sen Sok Church

On Sunday, November 23, Bishop Olivier visited and warmly celebrated Mass at the St. Joseph Sen Sok Church on the occasion of the Feast of Christ the King of the Universe.
In his homily, Bishop Olivier recalled that Jesus is a King unlike those of the world. Jesus is not a king wielding armed power, but rather a King who “knelt to wash feet” to serve others, and who died on the cross for peace and the washing away of humanity’s sins.
During the occasion, Bishop Olivier also encouraged the faithful in Sen Sok, who have experienced many difficulties in life, to keep hope and share in the suffering of Jesus. Finally, he exhorted the congregation to become:

  • Witnesses of peace and reconciliation;
  • People who know how to love and forgive one another;
  • And those who entrust their lives to the grace of God by praying constantly.
